Mandy Zhang Art is proud to present ChronoThread, a pop-up exhibition that explores the convergence of fashion, art, and technology. Opening during London Fashion Week FW 2025, this show marks the gallery's first foray into the realm of fashion artistry, featuring the innovative works of Fanrui Sun and the pioneering footwear laboratory, SCRY.
Fanrui Sun, a Chinese digital artist and fashion designer, is celebrated for her use of 3D printing to merge luxurious aesthetics with cutting-edge technology. Her work draws inspiration from the uncharted organic forms of marine life, interlacing these inspirations with digital advancements to redefine clothing as transformative armor for identity and form. The exhibition will showcase pieces like 'Auro,' a 3D-printed headpiece that embodies the flow and energy of Qi, and 'End of the Chrysalis,' which visualizes the complex relationship between human conditions and fluid identity.
SCRY, known for its innovative approach to footwear, takes the stage with creations that blend artistic expression with functional design. Their debut accessory series "Form" & "Mutation" and the SCRY Vault shoes feature cantilevered structures and sculptural aesthetics, pushing the boundaries of traditional jewelry and footwear design.
ChronoThread invites viewers to experience the fusion of physical and digital realms, where the boundaries of fashion and sculpture dissolve. This exhibition not only showcases the technological evolution of fashion but also celebrates the poetic and philosophical explorations of identity and expression in the modern era.
