Long Huang (b.1994, Beijing) is a London-based painter whose practice explores the poetic transition between language and image under a state of preconsciousness. Working primarily with oil on canvas, Huang constructs spatial environments that oscillate between stillness and temporality, seeking an unstable balance between text and image, memory and immediacy.

Huang earned his MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins and a BFA from the University of Utah. His recent exhibitions include Bonian Art Space (Beijing), Lychee One (London), Mingyuan Museum (Shanghai), MadeIn Gallery (Shanghai), and Mandy Zhang Art(London). He was shortlisted for the Sunny Art Prize (2022), Signature Art Prize (2021/22) and the Global Design Graduate Show with Gucci (2021). He completed a residency at Elephant Lab x Art Gazette in 2022, and his works are held in the collection of Taikang Art Museum.
